聽人說過; 有個老公愛打牌, 常常打到三更半夜才回家. 老婆很火大常常和老公吵架. 有天某高人指點他一妙招, 要他教老婆打牌, 果然奏效. 以後兩人都同進同出去打牌, 從此不再吵架了.

可惜以後老婆變得更沉迷, 整天想打牌. 不做飯不管小孩, 家裡搞的更烏煙瘴氣.

大家看過一個古典老電影:"酒與玫瑰的日子" (Days of Wine and Roses 1962)? 傑克李蒙, 李麗梅主演.

老公貪杯, 老婆埋怨不已. 老公就開始鼓勵老婆也一起喝. 結果老婆上了酒癮不能自拔. 全家下場很慘...

我痴迷吉他, 老婆從來不會怎麼抱怨, 只是擔心將來這麼多的收藏搬小房子後要擺那裡? 會囉唆幾句要我趕快賣掉一些. 我也來個"以毒攻毒, 同流合污"的策略吧!

這是開玩笑的! 沙漠嫂小時候和我一樣, 父母以讀書為先不讓小孩玩樂器. 她不會任何樂器覺得有點遺憾. 我一直鼓勵她學古典吉他或民謠吉他, 但她試幾次嫌手指痛太難學, 就放棄了.

這次去拉斯維加斯看到Craigslist 有人賣一把Ukulele, 我覺得小小的琴她拿著方便, 琴弦好按, 又不難學, 覺得很適合她. 而且價格公道品質不錯就買下來. 目前她還喜歡天天拿出來練, 我也趕快看書學了教她. 兩人一起練習非常愉快. 希望她能持續的喜歡下去.

這把Ukulele 是夏威夷的Maui毛異島Mele 公司的產品, 面板是夏威夷的KOA木, 琴身是Mahogany, 指板是Ebony 是鳳梨形狀, 音樂會用尺寸 Concert Size, 聲音相當脆麗洪亮. 據說是在夏威夷備料, 菲律賓手工裝配, 再送回夏威夷調整檢驗. 所以價格品質都相當超值. 還有一個相當牢固的琴盒可以像 backpack 背在身體後面.

1980 Chet Atkins Custom Shop

Nokie Edwards personal guitar

This was produced in early 1980's when Chet left Gretsch and started working with Gibson. This model was made in Gibson's custom shop as Chet Atkins' CE model. Nokie Edwards; Former lead guitarist of The Ventures owned and used this guitar (limited edition #16) in many of his concerts in the US and Japan.

For examples; Nokie used this guitar in 1984 "Original Masters" concert in Japan (Played a duo of Beatles' "Yesterday" together with Gerry McGee). He also used this guitar to play his famous numbers; "El Bimbo" and "Alabama Jubilee" in 1984 Oklahoma City concert

1974 Hernandis Grand Concert Classical (Brazilian Rosewood)
This guitar was made in 1974 by Sherry-Brener Ltd in Chicago who was importers for Ramirez Classical guitars in Spain. The guitar componets were prepared in Spain and sent to Japan for assembly. On the label, it claims Brizilian Rosewood were used for sides and back.

Soundboard (Spanish Pine) Spain
Back and Sides (Rosewood) Brazil
Fingerboard (Granadillo) Neck (Cedar) Africa
Rosettl (Inlaid wood marquetry) Persia
Final assembly & all parts finished Japan

There were different grades; Grand Concert, 1a, 1, & 2

I had the pleasure meeting with Mr. Sherry at his Chicago Store one day and talked a little about this Hernandis guitar. He mentioned that these guitars were made by Tetsuo Kurosawa in Japan in 1970's. Mr. T.Kurosawa was a well known classical guitar maker in Japan.
