和1967 blackface Twin Reverb 比較:

音色更合適60年代的投機者音色, 雖然投機者60年代是用Brown Face Dual Showman, 這套一些人稱呼"窮人的Showman Amp" 的Bandmaster 是我最接近他們音色的音箱

需要外接Reverb Tank, 但比Twin Reverb的內建R安靜多了

顫音效果比Twin Reverb好

瓦數較小在家和小俱樂部彈奏表演足足有餘

重量比Twin Reverb 輕很多, 頭和櫃可分開更容易搬運

尋找古典沖浪音色的音箱: Fender 1967 Twin Reverb blackface

黑面的雙喇叭延音音箱


在 Craigslist上看到在鄰近的印第安納州有人在賣Fender 1967年黑面 Blackface 的Twin Reverb. 他放上的錄音示範音色實在太好.


忍不住和沙漠嫂開了超過一個半小時去看. 是一個鄉下的城鎮, 賣琴的是一位叫丹尼斯的年輕人. 他每週末在當地的教堂伴奏表演, 音箱就放在那兒. 雖然改換喇叭不是原裝(大部份有常用的40多年古董音箱幾乎都換掉了). 覺得情況不錯, 序號也證明是1967年的黑面音箱.

[附 註: Fender Blackface Twin Reverb在1963-1967年製造, 這個之前的金面 Blonde Twin在市面出現不多而且是天價, 投機者也沒有用, 我不想考慮. 1968年以後AB763 circuit 線路改變, 前面的面板改為銀色 Silverface. 1972年後CBS/Fender更雞婆的加了總音量鈕 Master Volume Control, 音色有些改變. 到70末期更順應時代潮流把瓦數音量加大, 音色完全變質. ]

音色比上次我賣掉的銀面 1972 Silverface Twin Reverb 和過去擁有賣掉的兩台'65 Twin Reverb RI 好的很多. 的確像錄影帶示範一樣的清晰. 是我擁有聽過的Twin Reverb中音色最好的. 覺得難得碰到錯失機會可能就沒有了, 就買了下來.

這台音箱非常的重. 丹尼斯很有禮貌的幫我抬上車. 回家後我和沙漠嫂4手4腳的分段慢慢地抬進房子裡. 去的那天是大晴天, 第二天當地下了12吋的雪. 我們還好早去了.

這個音箱適合沖浪, 西部和早期的搖滾, 尤其彈清音和帶鼻音的Fender Telecaster吉他

音色測試: 用Grosh的RCVT 測試,

1) 正常頻道 Normal Channel: 吉他 Switch 有4種選擇

a) 第1設定適合西部鄉村 Country & western 歌曲的Twangy鼻音主奏或間奏.
b) 第2,3設定適合木吉他 Acoustic音色, 彈哈林小夜曲 Harlem Nocturne 一半時, 音箱正旁邊的噴霧機開始轉動噴水所以背景有雜音..

2) 振音頻道 Vibrator Channel:吉他 Switch第1設定, 腳踏板加Reverb迴音和Tremolo顫音

鑽石頭: a)清音, b)帶Reverb迴音
管路間奏: a) 清音, b) 帶Reverb迴音, c) 帶Reverb迴音加Tremolo顫音

Fender Bassman 59 RI LTD

吉他貝士兩相宜

替新買的 Grosh J4 找比較好的音箱, 看了一些最後還是決定買 Fender Bassman 59 RI LTD. 雖然瓦數不是很高, 自己練習應該夠了.

原先考慮的 Victoria 45410 價格太貴, 要Fender Bassman 59 RI LTD 的兩倍, 加 Wattage 更貴. 最重要的是我可以用一把不常彈的 Gretsch 吉他換還有錢找.

回家試發現Fender Bassman 59 RI LTD 非但 Bass 聲音好, 用來彈 Single Coil 單線圈拾音器吉他音色非常清澈, 一物兩用, 吉他貝士兩相宜.
